A woman employed by the Zimbabwe Women Bureau has been dragged to court for theft of trust property valued at over 3000.
Patience Gore (41) of Nkulumane was not asked to plead to theft when he appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Franklin Mkhwananzi.
She was further remanded out of custody for trial.
The court heard that between August 1 2014 and June 30 2017 Gore was employed as a field animator by the Zimbabwe Women Bureau situated at number 27 R Mugabe way in Bulawayo.
During the time while on duty she collected subscriptions, rentals among other payments amounting to $3 949 which were to be banked into the organization’s account.
She however, converted the money to her own use. An audit was conducted and it was established that she could not account for the money and a report made to the police led to her arrest.
