Speaker of Parliament Jacob Mudenda has refuted claims that the Committee on Standing Rules and Ordered was instructed by the Executive to recommend Justice Loice Matanda-Moyo for the Chair of Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission.
Justice Matanda Moyo is the wife of Retired General Sibusiso Busi Moyo who is now the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Commenting on Mudenda’s press release, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information Nick Mangwana said, “Parliament’s CSRO condemns insulting remarks insinuating that Justice Matanda-Moyo was proposed as ZACC chair on the strength of her marriage and not on her skill, experience, ability and integrity. Women’s careers should not be limited by their marriages. That is gender inequality.”
